Visit to Smith Island. We left Point Lookout State Park in the place called Scotland, Maryland, to set sail at the banks of Smith Island where we had the chance to taste a more relaxed Island life in this historic picturesque setting. As we came ashore from the 'Twister' boat, we were greeted and warmly welcomed by the Bayside Inn. You may have heard about the "Famous Smith Island Cake". This restaurant (The Bayside Inn), is renowned for its special fresh crab cakes, and cream of crab soup.
