In July 2000, Andrew Benson Greene embarked on a transformative journey to Beijing, China, marking his first international foray at the 7th Annual IEARN International Conference.  



Amidst the backdrop of the sprawling metropolis, Andrew's presence radiated with passion and purpose as he joined educators and activists from around the world to explore the theme of "Sharing and Understanding Tele-education in the Twenty-first Century."

At the heart of Andrew's participation lay a fervent commitment to leveraging technology for conflict resolution in the 21st century. With Sierra Leone's recent history of war fresh in his mind, he seized the opportunity to share his vision for utilizing Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to empower students and youth in post-conflict societies.

Throughout the conference, Andrew engaged in spirited discussions, networking tirelessly to advocate for his cause. His first International Traveling debut was in Beijing, China - July 2000 during 7th Annual IEARN International Conference, July 7-14 2000
The overall theme of this conference was "Sharing and Understanding Tele-education in the Twenty-first Century." Andrew shared his vision for using ICT's towards 'Conflict resolution in the 21st Century. During the conference and throughout the event, he networked and shared his vision for using the internet positively to help transform the lives of students and youth in Sierra Leone that were emerging from wars.
