I attended the Alliance for Peacebuilding at the U.S. Institute of Peace on October 11th 2017.




Experts explore new ideas for preventing and resolving violent conflict.


The conference, entitled “Peace Now, More Than Ever,” kicks off with a video message from United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

The day’s sessions also include several panels and discussions of how men can champion women’s roles for peace and security, how peacebuilding programs can monitor their performance and adapt, and how policy can contribute to stabilizing conflict zones.
















Speakers came from Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Uganda, Ghana, Iran, US, Canada, Nigeria, Cameroon and internationally to share personal perspectives on these issues.
